Flea market finds

I went to a big flea market this weekend and got these three treasures:

Already found use for the red mug :)

If it wasn't for the fact that I had to walk home, I probably would have bought a lot more stuff. But with flea markets half the fun is looking around, and finding the small special items that you can't find anywhere else.

New favorite jacket

Lately I have been obsessed with the military trend, so when i found this  jacket I just had to have it.

The first time I found it in the store it was to expensive,so I didn't get it. Luckily for me they had a 50% off sale a week later, so I ended up getting the perfect jacket 50% off. I just love when that happens :)

I have been wearing it almost every day since I got it, and find that it works with everything I have in my closet. But what kind of girl would I be if I didn't dream of new clothes to add to my collection, here are a few dream-outfits:

And I almost forgot to mention, the jacket is from Bikbok.

Hope you liked the outfits :)

chevron striped tin can

I wanted something with chevron stripes, because I'm obsessed! So I painted black stripes on white paper, and just glued it on the tin can. A simple and cute project :)

Sleeveless hoodie

Made this sleeveless hoodie at work the other day. I made it from scratch, but you could always just use an old hoodie and cut off the sleeves. The great thing about this hoodie is that you can layer it under jackets.

Some new things

Like every other girl I love shopping, and these last few weeks  are no exception. First I bought a pair of converse to add to my shoe collection, I bought the black ones because I think they go with everything in my closet.

The collar necklaces have been a favorite of mine for a while now, and also the ones you can wear with a collared shirt. I got this one at vero moda.
These rings are just perfect. I really like the edgy and hardware feel they bring to an outfit. They remind me of something Ivania Carpio from the blog Love-aesthetics would wear, and I love her simple and minimalistic use of accessories.
This is just a simple blue buttondown shirt, and I think it would look very good with black jeans and the necklace I bought.

The last thing I got was these cute shorts with flowers, they will be great for spring and summer. Got the shorts and the shirt at Traffic.

DIY studded clutch

Yesterday I finally sat down and made this clutch. I have been planning on making it for some time now, and really like the way it turned out. And because I like it so much, I desided to share the tutorial with you.
For the clutch I used two different fabrics, the purple one for lining, and a pleather fabric for the outside of the clutch.
I cut out the fabric in 24x42cm pieces. ( my lining fabric wasn't wide enough so I hade to sew together some parts to get this size.)
The fabric can now be folded like the picture below, and sew at the red lines. Do this with the lining fabric as well. remember right sides together.
Now flip the lining fabric around, and put it inside the pleather fabric. Sew over the red line, so that you attach the lining and the plaether.(remember to not sew over all the layers, just the first pleather and the lining piece.)

Now sew the sides of the flap.
Sew the top of the flap, but leave an opening in the middle to turn the clutch inside out.
Then turn the clutch inside out, and handstich the opening closed. You can also sew a seem along the red line, to make the lining stay in place.

On the picture below I have handstiched on a little piece of velcro to make the flap to stay in place. Then place on studs in the pattern you want.
And you have a brand new and unique clutch.

I got the studs on ebay, I found them here.

Hope you liked the tutorial, and if you have any questions just leave me a comment. And let me know if you make one :)

My DIYs on youtube

Earlier today I watched youtube videos, and then I spotted two of my DIY projects in one of them. I'm talking about threadbanger and it was one of their diy of the day videos. For those of you that don't know Threadbanger has a DIY channel on youtube where they make how to- videos and show other DIY projects. They also have a forum on their website where you can show your own projects.

So I uploaded my DIYs on their forum, and today they were in the video. It might not look like much, but it's funny to see that someone on the other side of the world likes my project and puts it in a video.
Here is the video:

DIY pearl ring

Today I made a ring from leftover pearls and some thin wire. I allways find alot of cute rings in stores, but these are just way to big on my fingers. I absolutly hate when that happends, even size xs is to big! Anyone else having the same problem?

I'm glad I finally have a ring that fits perfectly.

DIY friendship-bracelets

I came across some blogs with DIY bracelet tuturials and desided to try some myself.
The first bracelet is the easiest one of the the two I made. I found the tutorial on this blog.

The second one was a valentines day spesial with hearts. It was a bit harder to make then the first one, but I think it turned out pretty cute. Tutorial here.
I just love the way people wear many different ones on the same arm, maybe I have to make more of these? They would look great with denim shorts and a plain white tank top in the summertime. And one more thing, this is kind of time comsumig, and takes a couple of hours to finish.
Let me know if you make one :)

Mini storage drawers

I bougth this wood storage thing in a hobby store the other day. I'm always looking for storage items for my room, and this one was perfect for sewing-supplies.
The only thing I didn't like about this thing was the color. In my room most of my things are black, white and pink, so I used pink and white acrylic paint to give it a personal touch.
At first I was thinking about using scrapbooking paper on the drawers, but I think it looks pretty good just the way it is.

Polyvare-Casual outfits

Two outfits I wouldn't mind wearing today!
Casual days
Converse and a black fringe bag is on the top of my wishlist at the moment.

Rocking the vest

And I really want a denim vest, so I can stud it and wear it with everything.

Let me know what you think!

DIY Peter Pan collar necklace

Today I finished one of my many ongoing DIY projects. I made a Peter Pan collar necklace. For this project I used Fimo clay from a hobby-supplies store and chain from a hardware store.+jumprings and jewellery clasps.

The white one is my favorite, the color of the black one turned out kind of gray. And the white one just looks a bit more clean and classy.

Let me know what you think! did you like this idea?

The introduction

Hello, my name is Line Pedersen. I decided to make this blog because I am a crafty person, and like to share my projects with others. I also have a little obsession with nailpolish and naildesign, so you will see alot of that as well. I read a lot of fashion blogs, and really like fashion, so I might show you some outfits and my favorite trends. In the future I want to work as a fashion designer or something else with sewing.
Here is two pictures of some clothes I made last year:

Till now i have been blogging in Norwegian on this blog: http://blomsterpia.blogg.no/ . The reason why I "moved" to blogspot is that I wanted more people to see my DIYs, and possibly get inspired.

Hope you like my blog!
